Genuinely one of the GOAT pilot episodes in my opinion. Some shows fail to fully capture my attention in the pilot episode but I'll still watch them. FNL's pilot was just and I never looked back.

My top 3 shows EVER and I have no interest in American Footaball.

The Eric "the gawd" Taylor is just awesome and the chemistry with his wife, you can tell they added a lot of adlib to it cos some of the scenes are so good it seems real.

S2 was during wirters strike, so its a bit random the way it ends.

So many great characters in the show and the chicks

Great read, like I said some of the scenes were so good they seemed like a real couple, excellent acting IMO

Sort of

They have the same premise. A high school football obsess town in the middle of Texas, but the movie is based on a true story in the 80s, where as the tv show is fictional and based in modern times
