did you know that they couldnt get the sample to clear so DOOM got some random broad who was in the studio at that time to sing it? :wow:
the song still samples Sade (Kiss of Life). he just got that girl (Pebbles) to sing the lyrics slightly different

I don't think they were too worried about clearing samples on that album. Gas Drawls samples the same song (Black Cow) that Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz got sued over

Pebbles was also on this track:

:whoa: Sir you misunderstand me. Every record I listed is arguably a classic, best believe I'm not shytting on MM Food.
I just think its not quite on the level of his earlier joints.

Tiers 4-whatever include Born Like This, Dangerdoom (), the 2nd Viktor Vaughn, etc.
All lesser projects and not worth the time of someone just getting up on DOOM in my opinion :yeshrug:

DOOM is prolly the single greatest mind of the genre, but DangerDOOM is, in my opinion, THE definition of coffee shop hipster rap.

Matter of fact, I'll even go as far as to say that the greater majority of people who don't like DOOM don't like him because either some dusty hippy pothead pushed this album on them or some dude dressed like a lumberjack with Capri pants on and a handlebar mustache pushed this album on them.

DangerDOOM is prolly Anthony Fantano's favorite hip hop album EVER.

I could go on and on about the Doomsday album...

chopped up 1960's Fantastic Four cartoon sample skits actually tell Doom's story. mostly about what happened with KMD's Black b*stards album, and how it sent him into 'hiding'

the Sade sample. G Rap and Rakim drums. samples that crazy shyt from the end of Glass Onion. Subroc's beat and the Wildstyle samples on The Hands of Doom. samples Scooby Doo theme :mindblown:

the "?" beat is teased in the skits, and then used on the last track. shout out to Piston Honda (Adam Lough) who used to post on SOHH and made this video

DOOM's second verse still gives me the chills :wow:

I actually found SOHH looking for info on MF DOOM :myman:

bruh im i the only one that thinks killa is the mainstream version of doom? for example i can hear doom spit something like, It's la costra nostra, someone close approach ya
They'll toast ya: gopher, bread loafer, your chauffeur
Old coke they raise up and snort, blaze up ya fort
idk if its cause i listen to a lot of both of them but they seem similar to me both just have different content, both say funny and witty shyt.

I'm surprised at the Dangerdoom hate in here.

I thought it was a dope album. :yeshrug:

Doom did his thing.

Impeccable production from Dangermouse.

Dope features from Kweli and Ghostface.

Only annoying thing to me is all the Adult swim skits.

Dat dangerdoom dat fih cuh. Especially cause me and the nikkas got high to Cartoon Network every night in college. Aqua teen, sea lab, Harvey Birdman, who else got Cartoon #bars just for fun? "I know this dude right, Carl, who wore light blue sweats but wasn't glued to tight, all he had upstairs was a crude light, you think that's weird? He lived next door to a food fight!"

You're late, but that's okay. Doom is timeless.

Every time you listen to one of his tracks, you hear something different.....from the samples to the obscure references........

I'll never get tired of listening to this cat.

Notice parables of three in every other inference...

Did you watch Adult Swim? DD was basically a niche album/soundtrack for the shows. If you didn't watch them the songs don't make sense. I liked the album because I was familiar with the material. The hype came from Danger Mouse coming off of the Gnarls Barkley success.

I never understood the "hipsters like it so I don't" angle:yeshrug:
