Just recast the character.
I just realized that when Black Panther 2 begins, T'Challa wouldve been Dead for 5 years already..

Kilmonger wasn’t the black Panther though, he was just given the suit. And of course people favoured the villain as is common in a lot of comic book movies. Thanos was heavily favoured does that mean he could replace one of the avengers and take over their role and title? Same with Joker and Batman. Or better yet Zod and Superman seeing as they are similar in power set the only thing that differs being who they are (T’Challa and Kilmonger). There is still plenty to explore with the character why kill him of after one Solo movie it just doesn’t make sense. RIP to Chadwick but they should recast.

Outcome would be the same, a new actor doing his own take on black panther. you just arguing over what his first name will be. Not going to make the movie any better or worse to call him by another name. Just means the new actor would be limited to doing an impression or have the freedom to do something different with the role without being hated on by chadwick fans. I don't want a chadwick impersonator, i want a new black panther. Ya'll are asking for superman returns, i want Man of steel.

Chadwick was playing a character so another actor can do the same that’s essentially what acting is. Yes actors tend to inject bits of themselves in roles but for the most part another actor can still pick up who T’Challa is meant to be. There is a huge difference between recasting someone to play the same character and having someone like Kilmonger or Shuri

How did Kilmonger don the mantle of Black Panther? I think we saw different films, he did become king but he was never black Panther in name. People loved Kilmonger completely different thing having him as the black Panther.
Because they gave him the purple juice and a black panther armor
this. people still think Chadwick created the character or something. Don't insult everybody's intelligence by trying to get slick with T'Challa dying, just recast.

They are damn near done filming so we clearly getting his little sister's movie. They said they WILL NOT digitally put him in this movie. So he must die off screen or in the suit. Shuri will be the star and I'm sure someone else will take the mantle by the end of the movie

This was always and initially the primary focus of the next story. We're not going to have a CG Chadwick and we're not recasting T'Challa."

I seem to remember them giving killmonger the heart shaped herb drink and saying "allow the herb to give you the powers of the blek pantha and take you to the ancestral plane."Got news for you buddy that doesn’t make him Black Panther.
To me that implies he was black panther
