You’re kinda right. He’s paying 4X what an X1X would cost, but he’s not getting 4X the graphics and power.
I’d say he’s getting 3X the power and graphics though. He’s getting double the fps, better graphical settings, and native 4K.
The extra $500 he spent is kinda covered though as PCs can do so much more than play games
