Are you in good health? Smoke? Overweight? Go ahead and get you a good policy. At least enough so your folks don’t gotta worry about how they will bury you.
Pay your debt off too
And make sure you have an emergency savings.
Then do you !🙂
Happy you’re okay !
I am/was in excellent health until this exact moment, I’m currently in the hospital.

And like buddy said above me I gotta get on it now. I don’t have kids and don’t want s funeral and they can literally leave my body in the woods somewhere cause I don’t care when I’m gone but I do want to get policy just to make sure my mom and sister don’t have any burdens whatsoever after I pass

More importantly how’s your body been since getting smacked
Spoke on it before a few pages back but I had a mild concussion at the scene that could have been a lot worse without my locs protecting me and I had a tear in my shoulder that either required 6-8 months physical therapy or surgery that wasn’t even a guarantee. I did PT and it helped tremendously but my shoulder still isn’t 100% back to where it was and may never will be

Aww, I hope you get better soon! ❤️
And yeah, you don’t even have to have a fancy funeral or anything but having that money available will definitely provide a peace of mind for your loved ones. Wish you the best

Pocket watchin :martin:

Lol but I came out nice. I don’t personally know any lawyers in the city I live in so I went to one that is reputable and friends of mine suggested; they definitely took their 33% tho.

I’ll just say it’s a very generous settlement, not in the millions but I nice number with three numbers in front of comma and three numbers behind it even after their cut

It's actually not pocket watchin.

It's seeing how much money you have to deal with and also helping others who may be in the same situation.

Rather it being hit by a car or came into some money and are wanting to invest right.

I know you’re being facetious but I’d take being 100% healthy over long term injuries and a settlement any day.

100% agree. I’m pretty good now just still nagging slight shoulder pain.

But the scariest 30 seconds of my life is after I hit my head against the windshield and then flew off onto the pavement I couldn’t move or feel my feet for a hot second and I thought I was paralyzed and saw my life go before my eyes.

I'm seeing you entertain buying a house...my advice for you is to put that on hold for a minute.
Houses are $300,000.00 + right now, prices are jacked up and I'm sure you'd want a house in the best neighborhood, so that could easily hit half a mil.

I would highly suggest you find a way to flip what you have into something better. It can be done, it's just gonna take some commitment from you.

For starters those 4-5% interest rates investments are your best option to put the money away and focus on getting as much knowledge as possible until you can find a way to get a better return on your investment. I'm not sure of how much you have, but I do know that it can be flipped.

In short, do buy the house that's half a mil, but do it knowing you'll still have another half a mil in the bank. fukk a mortgage, it's better to rent (which from my understand you can do with your active income) and then go all in when your passive income hits the sweet spot.

Buying a house and having 50,000.00 left doesn't sound bad. That is until you get older and realize that you didn't have to put yourself in that position. Anything you have north of 200,000.00 you gotta find a way to flip it before you decide to spend it on expensive assets.

Glad you’re ok. Hope you make a 100% recovery. My ex-biking buddy got knocked off his Suzuki years back.

Got a huge 6 figure settlement too but now he can’t bike anymore. He’s got metal plates in his body, walks awkwardly as shyt. Says he’d give that settlement back for his ability to bike again. :francis:

Don’t take your health for granted brehs.

Like I said, you’re too scared to give specifics, when you’re all :duck: that’s what happens :mjlol:

Go buy some skyscrapers son
I mean, he already said he got six figures even after the lawyers were paid. Do you really need more than that?

I can definitely wait but I have been getting highway robbed for the past 5 years by renting I really just want my own. I know not to jump out the window tho. I’ve paid off my lease through the end of the year to give me a personal motivation start to really get the ball rolling.

He’s just broke and heartless apparently spending few racks on your personal hobbies and treating your moms nice is splurging I swear if I told my IRL homies I splurged on $2500 they’d laugh in my face :russ:
