I respect Ridley for sticking to his guns and making this an R-rated film. We don't need weak ass PG shyt in sci-fi. The horror genre has been ruined by it's lack of blood/gore/mature themes and situations. shyt's been neutered.

Nice post. The torture porn has provided plenty of gore the past decade but it hasnt been flicks on a blockbuster level...we need r rated summer flicks, whether it be sci fi or straight up action movies..i grew up on the real shyt and it needs a comeback.

There don't need to be more horror movies, or horror movies more often. There needs to be more better ones, from every sub-genre of horror. Every time something blows up they wear it the fukk out....I bet if this movie blows up we'll get 5,000 sci-fi horror movies.

Did you see "Cabin in the Woods"? I wouldn't really call it "horror" per se but that movie sums up the horror game perfectly.

I'm predicting it will be. If not.. I'll be surprised but I will be objective in my review. This doesn't just happen here anyway. People are already calling TDKR the best movie of the Summer.. we shall see.

Im expecting to be a bit let down by prometheous for some reason. I want it to be classic but something tells me itll be a mixed bag. Ima peep it regardless of the reviews however.

nigas was on a spaceship bootlicking eachother for an hour then some nikka gets some shyt stuck to his face, then it comes out his stomach, then it grows really fast and tries to murk everyone, thats pretty much the plot breh, I'm not shytting on it because I enjoyed it but yal talking that crazy talk about it being "more detailed" The Aliens look exactly the same as the first film, plus theres more than one this time. You can't get more detailed than a big ass Queen Alien dropping a shytload of eggs breh

I have equal appreciation for Alien and Aliens but for different reasons.
Alien was like a perfect blend of sci-fi and slasher fukk right down to the Final Girl (Ripley) duking it out with the (alien) killer.
Aliens tooktheconept away from themore personal style and made it into a more visceral viewing experience. It was basically azombie movie done with aliens.

Technically, The Hunger Games is science fiction and that stunted the fukk out of alot of these comic book movies.
