He isn’t paid to be 11-1, he’s paid to beat Michigan and compete for the national title.

Nah breh. Anyone would go 11-1 every year with the pedigree of that program, the kids they recruit, and the conference they play in. Beating Michigan and winning a national title is the goal. This isn’t some run of the mill regular program breh.
Some programs tend to take for granted how difficult it is to win. They need to let him work through it.

99% of programs I would say yes, Ohio State hasn’t made a bad coaching hire in 70 years. Woody, Earle Bruce, Cooper, Urban, Day. Cooper is considered their worst coach and he won 71% of his games and 3 Big Ten titles. They are more likely to have the next Urban Meyer land in their lap than Rich Rod.
That said I don’t get the feeling OSU fans want to move on from Day. There are really no good candidates out there and with the reshuffling of the conference and 12 team playoff it doesn’t make sense.

Day is struggling bc the pressure has mounted. He'll just need to get the MI monkey off his back, and he'll be able to breath more freely and loosen up. He coached extremely conservative in that game.
He was also a missed kick away from beating UGA, which would've resulted in a national title.
Now if he loses again next year and doesn't make noise in a 12 team playoff it'll be time to reevaluate. But if they go 11-1 w/ a loss to MI and win 2 games in the playoffs he'll be good
It's a major game to win but the importance is diminished slightly bc you don’t need To win that game to get in the playoffs anymore, and that goes for both sides.
