I dont think Nolan's involvment in this project is as heavy as people think. Its more just a big producer exec in name thing to just give it a co-sign.

This whole movie actually came up when Nolan and Goyer were having writer's block while brainstorming for TDKR. Nolan was telling Goyer what he would have done if he had made a Superman movie and Goyer's was like "That's actually pretty good. Let's write that down and turn it in." The studio liked it and now we have Man of Steel.

From what I read, Warners had basically attached Nolan as a Exec Producer/Advisory so that each Director that came through and pitched the concept and he gave the co-sign

Its more a Goyer/Snyder joint

Yep...Nolan is basically just guiding the toe of the movie but the meatof the thing is going to all be Snyder/Goyer. And that doesn't bother me because Goyer is capable of writing a decent script and Snyder has never disappointed me as a director (its when he has control of everything that he tends to slip up).

The difference is Spiderman 1 and 2 was supposed to be campy. That's the tone that Raimi set for the the movies. So the cheesy dialogue fit right in. The movies didn't take themselves too seriously until the 3rd Act, when it was time to take itself seriously. And that's why it worked so well.

Where as part 3 was overly campy and that's what made it bad.

Avengers took it's cheesy dialogue way too seriously. 90% of Downey's lines and the bickering in general was cringe inducing. At some points I was embarrassed to be in the movie theater watching it all go down. fukk Whedon. Neg me all you want. It's the best anyone can do, no ones able to counter anything I said.

I'm just glad they didn't get Bryan Singer to ruin it. Is it me, or are thos X MEN films (with the exception of the Matthew Vaughn) films crazy overrated

If you like comic book movies, how can you hate The Avengers?:mindblown:

As an aside, I enjoyed Watchmen and the trailer looks legit.

Looking forward to this.

The reason no one is countering anything you said is because you aren't bringing any kind of valid points to the table. All you're bringing is emotion.

Very first post about "Avengers" you attacked people that like the movie. I don't even think the movie is all that, but god damn man. You got 2x as many posts as anyone else in this thread about a movie you don't even like, that the thread ain't even about. You could've just as easily said "I thought that shyt was wack" and KIM....instead you're acting like you walked in on Whedon the cast of the movie running a train on your wife.

shyt is :huhldup::snoop:

So yeah. That's why you aren't getting any serious rebuttals.

Fred.

They’re sticking to realism as much as possible. Fantastic elements are still there but a lot of it that been trimmed back to make it feel as though this actually happened."

so this movie is just going to be like Christopher Reeve's getting his ass whooped in a diner for an enitre flick :beli:
