In an ideal world, sure, but at what cost? You play those rookies and push all those other egos down the depth chart, on less minutes, and then the conflict starts - especially when the team keeps losing. Wade's already been sending shots publically to the starting unit. I'd hate to think of the disturbance he'd cause and others when the team underperformed. I do agree that young guys should get burn, but they should've been getting burn
years ago.
Everything with this squad has been tackled with a quick fix (look at all the trades/signings they've done over the last three seasons), rather than trying to develop players, which is partly understandable given that they're trying to maximize LeBron's prime and can't be fukking around with player development. But at the same time, this is the hole you fall into when there's no structure to keep you above ground.
LeBron wouldn't need to exhaust all his energy on offense and do his best Harden-impression on defense if there was a proper system in place. He could be sitting pretty right now if he embraced a basketball milieu like Duncan did.
