In my old state the hoods weren't scary because nobody's in them. They've been pretty much gutted for the most part. But around here, the hood is teeming with violent activity directed toward people that could easily be mistaken for me. You can bet I get axiety spells in those areas and I don't hate Black people at all.

If I were a white dude I'd have no problem walkin through the hood. I'd be left alone and these goons would think I'm a cop. But I'm not, so when I'm down that way I'm trying my damnedest to avoid being the next contestant on WGN or WSHH screen.
