He's so desperate to be this old school wrestler with a great mind for the business but he just comes across as a mediocre talent who jumped on The Elite's wave and is now using his role to work out his daddy issues.

I wish him all the success and respect the path he's taken. But in constantly booking himself like legit legends like Flair, Arn, Tully and his pops, he kinda exposes how limited he is.

Even them promos people were hyping up like they were some NWA level shyts were forced and corny to me. His matches stink outside of the match with his bro.

But at the same time the crowd seem to love him. But I feel like the AEW crowd would pop for TL Hopper and Mantaur, so it's hard to really say. He was certainly a bust in New Japan.

He gets these smarky pops too because he is the Dana White/Jerry Jones face of the company although there are others behind closed doors who really run the show.
