son you literally just said "you dudes kill me with the whole "there's good music out there you just have to look for it" angle. Nobody is listening to that shyt."
what sense does that make for a 40 year old person to say in a thread of people talking about what THEY PERSONALLY listen to.

now you play "no hablo ingles" and victim when confronted with logic :dead:
Did you even see the post I was responding to? Or are you just desperate to score a gotcha? This is a nonsense point to even bring up. Try something else.

Yeah I only listen to rap now looking for high value production and drums cuz the bars are trash except for the Elites (Drake, Wayne, Cole, Kendrick, etc.)

Been on more vibey shyt Weeknd, Rufus Du Sol, Bob Moses, Lastlings, Odesza, Lane 8, etc.

Higher vibrational music and nutrition for the soul 🫠

Hip-hop = cac music to me now.... A certain segment is even white supremacists music to me now. The content of some rap music aligns with white supremacists thinking.

The word "hip-hop" itself makes me envision backwards hats wearing cacs in my head now.

Cacs in Europe and random places like Idaho & Montana are some of the biggest hip-hop heads on earth.

If you're black and don't have a taste for any soul music/ R&B/ southern soul music/ jazz/ gospel I assume you're very "cacish" on the inside.

Hip-hop doesn't make you as "black" as you think.

Overall I like hip-hop too (used to be obsessed with it) but as I've spiritually ascended it's become less & less apart of my mental diet.

Lots of rap music is pure poison and extremely anti -black and black people who defend it with veins popping in their foreheads are extremely suspect to me.

"Black genocide music pumps me up in the gym".....yea, says the white supremacist too :mjpls:

Last year around March I decided to to stop actively listening to rap music.
By actively, I mean going out of my way to play it. Obviously I am going to hear it here and there, but I made it a point to not play any rap on my personal time.
I deleted all of my Spotify playlists and replaced them with other genres of music.
When I get in the car it's strictly Afrobeats, True R&B, and Island music.

Honestly it is great. I always understood the effect music can have on you, but I really felt it after removing rap from my catalog. Unfortunately majority of it is degenerate based tunes. And if you are constantly listening to that, then you are going to have some form of degenerate thinking, even if it's on a small scale. Outside of that, even sonically, it's just the same sound/lyrics over and over and over again. How many times can you say you got shooters or got the 30 on you like Steph Curry? How many different ways can the girls say they have the best pusssy and will make men trick? It gets exhausting.

I have even noticed I have reduced my usage of the N-word too. I use it occasionally inside with my close people. But once I leave the house, I have barely said it. I don't know if that is from rap or just me getting older and more mature. Either way I would say I think more positively and it's just a better experience when I listen to my music. I have found some really dope artist and dope music. My Spotify end year wrap up look way different from previous years.

I implore y'all to try it. For 6 months to a year, just stop playing rap music and see how you feel.

I don't understand. "They" want us to stop listening to music about killing, scheming, scamming, and popping coochie?
That's not all hip-hop is about. That's what it was turned it into:

A child is born with no state of mind
Blind to the ways of mankind
God is smilin' on you but he's frownin' too
Because only God knows what you'll go through
You'll grow in the ghetto livin' second-rate
And your eyes will sing a song called deep hate
The places you play and where you stay
Looks like one great big alleyway
You'll admire all the number-book takers
Thugs, pimps and pushers and the big money-makers
Drivin' big cars, spendin' twenties and tens
And you'll wanna grow up to be just like them, huh
Smugglers, scramblers, burglars, gamblers
Pickpocket peddlers, even panhandlers
You say I'm cool, huh, I'm no fool
But then you wind up droppin' outta high school
Now you're unemployed, all non-void
Walkin' round like you're Pretty Boy Floyd
Turned stick-up kid, but look what you done did
Got sent up for a eight-year bid
Its time for a paradigm shift.
Lol you dudes kill me with the whole "there's good music out there you just have to look for it" angle. Nobody is listening to that shyt.
