nah. leave the three point line. leave the corner three. just return the offensive rebound rule to 24 second shotclock.
I'm glad you brought this up.

Part of why we've seen the pace and point totals spike is because the league wanted more possessions. Everything slows back down if it resets to 24.

That's basketball. Give teams the options to slow all the way down and counter all the spam posessions.

Interesting point. I was all about this rule change at first too

I also think they should make the court physically a little wider. Leave the corner 3 line where it is but widen the court itself. Just a tad more room for slashers to penetrate

t-dot till they bury me
The NBA should enforce a league minimum %. Let’s say it’s 35%…If a team shoots below league minimum for a quarter the value of each 3 they hit is only worth 2

Made & attempted 3s would remain intact for record keeping but team score & ppg would be effected

This would force teams to be more cautious in their offensive attacks & show more variety

No way, they’ll sit on ball like they already do in college
Nah. They'll run halfcourt sets like how they used to . Nobody going to sit on the ball. Pause.

Teams use to counter the 05-06 suns by running mad halfcourt sets to slow their pace down.

IDK. I'm to the point where I only enjoy watching Knick games cuz I'm invested as a 40 year fan. I used to be able to watch any game and my TV stayed on anything NBA related. I used to be hype for the all star game but this year I might not even watch. The last 3 I stopped watching before the game even ended. 20 years ago that would be unheard of.
I'm torn because the Knicks play the same way everyone else plays and I get upset when Hart passes up an open 3 for a wild drive. I be ready for KAT to shoot that shyt whenever he's behind the line and get annoyed sometimes when he drives instead.
But the league is 3 point happy. Maybe make the 3 point line in effect for only 2 of 4 quarters. Home team picks which 2 quarters per game. EX: 3 point line in effect for the 1st and 3rd. 2nd and 4th. Any combination really. Hell IDK :manny:

But I do feel myself losing interest :lupe:

what difference does it make? Would you really feel better if Pop was like "I didn't feel like playing Wemby tonight." The result is the same.
Breh is u serious?

Players sitting out games cause they don't feel like playing is a major issue in the NBA right now

The problem isn't just in a three pointer itself.

The players are getting paid more money than ever before. The game features more running up and down the court than ever before, which means more injuries. Some players are simply not risking to play much physical in games, so they could stay healthy for the next big contract.

Then you have a never ending same problem with about 1/3 of teams either tanking or considering that rebuild. They don't care about winning and produce some really really bad basketball. And it's been like that for ages.

Then you have the mid teams who are happy enough to just make it to play-in bracket and hope they get some luck. They have more room for errors in regular season where even if they end up 9th, they still have decent chances to make the playoffs.
