The Republican party started as a third party. The two party system back then was the Democrats and the Whigs, both of which supported slavery. The Republicans were abolitionists who did not listen to their "lesser of two evils" shaming tactic, formed their own party, asked people to vote for them, built up their power, and got the Whigs completely out the paint, eventually.

Your refusal to even CONSIDER a third party is why this isn't happening today. Your unwillingness to even TRY and support, for example, Cornel West, is why we stay stuck with two parties.

All I know is that the GOP has never been more blatantly White supremacist in recent times than now.

Even back in the mid 2010's, they used to be very covert using dog whistle terms like "welfare queen", "thug", "youth", etc. But now they're openly talking about the Neo Nazi inspired Great Replacement Theory, agreeing with Scott Adam's White supremacist talking point, trying to outright ban Black history in schools, blatantly supporting voter suppression, banning affirmative action, pushing literal Nazi propaganda on Elon's Twitter, letting actual White supremacists join their conventions, etc.

Also, I feel dudes exaggerate how "badly" Black people are doing under Biden. Biden's far from perfect but the employment rates for Black men under Biden are actually slightly better than they were under Trump even after a global pandemic.

The GOP doesn't even run on actual policy anymore. They know trickle down economics is a pipe dream and there's nothing they can do to offset the effects of global inflation. So, they'll act anti-woke and bash immigrants while still secretly employing them and stll letting them in the country. Obama deported more illegals than Trump ever did despite Trump's rhetoric being "tougher."

It's all a facade. People think the GOP's going to snap a finger like Thanos and bring us back to simpler times when, in reality, we're going to have the same exact issues with an extra dosage of fascism and blatant White supremacy.

Ironically, the biggest problem with the Democrats is that they're not Leftist enough due to trying to appeal to so many Blue Dogs and suburban soccer moms who are totally cool with neoliberal Centricism.

Independent or 3rd Party voting sounds good on paper but most Independent candidates have little chance of getting nominated or elected.
