The movie adaption of Shane is so lacking comparing to the novella, which is a masterpiece. Ladd's version is goofy and meandering, sanding off all the edges of the character, and toning down all the sexual tension, unrequited love from the novella.

I watched a ton of Spaghetti Westerns in 2020, but i've spent the past few weekends watching the classic ones. many mentioned in here.
