i just watched my darling clementine. easily one of my favorites in the genre now, like among the best black and white cinematography, great use of lighting too. definitely watch that if you havent. plus its the GOAT version of the OK Corral and Wyatt Earp story basically a foundational movie for american culture.

my others favorites are:
johnny guitar (among the best interior sets in westerns, great use of color and iconic performances from joan crawford and sterling hayden)
mccabe and mrs miller (one of the best revisionist westerns and a great snowy one)
the good the bad and the ugly (im sure youve seen it)
