Why do you think she’s untalented? I’m curious. Just because Big Boi and Diddy provided her with opportunity and the platform to do her thing has nothing to do with musical ability. The ArchAndroid is one of the best albums of recent times and The Electric Lady was a nice follow up. Hell, the Audition was a dope release too. I mean she has a nice voice (which can’t be said about a lot of newer artists out). She’s a great writer, and puts on a great show.

I won't say she is untalented but I do think she is overrated. Just because she can do the James Brown dance in Wingtips while being a cover girl model does not insinuate talent. Moreover, I find that she perpetuates many of the stereotypes that she claims she is against. But she has a niche audience and it caters to them. Artists like her, Uzi and Thug are just contrary to be contrary.

But she said the Tux was/is homage to the working class citizen, which was the class her parents fell into. Her mother was a janitor and father was a bus driver. I respectfully disagree with your opinion. Commercial success and popularity still has nothing to do with talent. There are a lot of talented artists that aren’t played on the radio like that.
