In particular by black men.
I've been growing my hair out since January of last year and my hair looks like the weeknd's. There's so many times/moments where I just want to cut this shyt off and be done with it, but I'm gonna finish what I started. I can only imagine how black women must feel who stick with the natural look.
Hair care is serious business, ESPECIALLY with black hair. I never understood why women talk and care about hair so much but after growing mine out and trying to maintain it, I completely get it now. Most of these other nationalities have no idea about the hair struggle so I don't expect much from then as far as empathy or respect. But we can't be faulting sistas for wearing wigs and weaves given the nature of our hair and the maintenance needed to keep it healthy and glowing.
Let's be sure to teach our sons and nephews to respect our women and their hair.
That is all.
