Bump... Im upgrading from my 2017 air...

Should i go the value play and grab the M1 air for $750 or is this M2 pro worth double the price at $1500?

I'll be doing some light programming along with the basics, (no games or video editing)

depends on your money situation. the M1 air will still be sufficient for most people's usage IMO.

im leaning towards the M2 mostly because of the additional ram

I only buy laptops like every 6-7 years so i dont mind making a good investment.

The chip the only thing holding it down. MacOS is still too limiting and the lack of touchscreen for the price is criminal.

But it serves its purpose:

Yeah I cooled down it wouldve been a unnecessary purchase
Ima stay with the M2 I mean I barely used the space (even got a 1tb Samsung shield) and it meets my needs and plenty.
Ima cool down
I don’t need this M3 pro I don’t
Ima be tight as hell if whatever AI siri ain’t for the M2 Pro though :hhh:
