You have to buy a Pokeball Plus. Mew isn't catchable in any of the games last I knew without some sort of cheat. It was a giveaway thing. You need an authentic Mew to send it to Home.

Yes!!! I didn't know it existed in 1997 when I first played these and it wasn't discovered until 2003 I think. I didn't have a game shark back then and I spent so much time trying to move that pickup truck in Vermillion City or wherever. I don't know who started that rumor lmao.

The glitch is the only way to get mew in red/blue/yellow/green.

it was secretly coded into the game without devs knowin. Mew wasnt obtainable by quest until Pokémon Emerald.
