This is the lowest point of my life, every single thing is falling apart and I've been having a lot of depression and existential thoughts on top of it. I don't know where to go from here, it all seems to dark and overwhelming. This isn't meant to sound suicidal, I would never put my family through that. At most I'll just stay in bed as a worthless piece of shyt

Are you going to be specific and go in detail on why you feel lost, or you rather the Coli play the quiz game?

Step outside and talk a walk. I'm being serious. Then concentrate on a hobby or learning a new skill you've been interested in. Sometimes doing small, different things will get you out of a funk.

t-dot till they bury me
Pretty much all the above man. Idk where to even start. Depression has me bout to get fired for missing too many days, I just broke up with my girl cause I can't trust her, caught her lying about some shyt. I'm dead broke, have a teenager to provide for who is going through the phase where he wants nothing to do with me. It all just seems so bleak.
Alright
So I've bolded what I think are the most critical items to tackle

If you have a dependant (assuming you are the caregiver for this teen), then you need to be gainfully employed i order to generate income to provide sustenance for you/him
Unless you have another income stream (I assume you dont)

Your girl? Perhaps throw that by the wayside and ensure you have your finances straight. Of course this is tough, but perhaps emotionally necessary at the moment

Do you and/or the teen have fam/friends you can rely on in case of the worst case scenario comes to light?

first things first, keep the paper coming in by any means necessary (legally). Do what you gotta do to get to work every day. Everything else can be improved in time. If you thought your girl's dishonesty was enough to drop her, you made the right decision. At least you got more time/energy to put towards sorting things out

I really appreciate such a well thought out response breh. I fortunately do have a good family I could fall back on if things got to that point, that's my one saving grace

Thank you coli brehs for letting me vent in my dark moment. I have family and a few friends but have never been able to share super personal things with them, so venting here was a great outlet and many of y'all provided me with great advice. I feel a lil better

My bad man, I feel awkward getting too specific, but it's mostly the usual: money, a girl, and unchecked mental health problems

Man, I hear you, and yeah, life’s kicking your ass right now. But here’s the thing: staying in this cycle isn’t going to fix anything. If you keep letting everything overwhelm you, it’ll just get worse. You don’t need to solve all your problems at once, but you do need to start somewhere.
  • Work: Missing days might feel like no big deal, but getting fired will make things ten times harder. Get your ass to work, even if you’re not feeling it. Just show up.
  • Your kid: Teens go through phases, and yeah, it hurts when they act like they don’t care. But your job isn’t to be their buddy—it’s to be the steady parent who sticks around no matter what. Keep showing up for him, even if it feels one-sided right now.
  • The breakup: She lied, you ended it, good. That’s a smart move. Don’t waste energy chasing what’s broken. Focus on fixing yourself instead.
It all feels like too much because you’re looking at the big picture. Stop doing that. Pick one thing—ANYTHING—and handle it. Then the next thing. Little wins add up, but you’ve got to take action.

No one’s coming to save you. You’ve been through tough times before, and you came out of them. This is no different. Get up, dig deep, and start fighting back.
