What y’all keep failing to comprehend is that you can’t compare what’s going on in Haiti to the United States. My guy, what this guy did is cowardice.. full stop. In any moral society this would be considered cowardice. The fact that it is not by some of you is a testament to how low the "black community" has gotten as a whole. Let's call a spade a spade.
Were I ever to find myself in a similar situation, God forbid, I hope that I would act courageously, but there is no way to know until you are in that situation, even if you spend a life time preparing. If I hid underneath the bed as my wife was being ravaged, I would be considered a coward and a pathetic excuse for a man by every man and woman I know. My own mother would be first in line to question my manhood and call me a coward. And they would all be right. Because that literally IS cowardice.
If, here in the US, someone came through my door they’re getting that work. And most black men I know feel the same way.
In a third world country like Haiti where the average person can’t access weapons and relies upon the husband/father to provide, it’s different.
I don’t know why people keep overlooking that.
