If the comments make sponsors pull out, like what happened over the weekend, he will. He didn't do this for black people or for social justice. He did this because money was being affected.

Did Asian organizations, or Latin organiations? A Native American organization was one of the first to condemn him and pulled sponsorship. Blacks are going to have to deal with the big NAACP issue, and the gravy training of Sharpton (did he pay the LA Chapter for an award next month, too?). For better or worse, the NAACP is the most well-known organization associated with us. Their involvement might be a tad bit worse than others' silence.

I've heard people make the comparison to when kobe said fakkit so much the past few days. I don't know if it's people who just want to be contrarian, play the devil's advocate, or if they just want to be dumb. But the situations are far from comparable.

People are just dumb. Athletes get hit by fines and suspensions all the time. Athletes are employees, not owners, though. This is huge precisely because it's an owner being held to a higher standard instead of just the Athletes.
