the tape you posted looked nothing like randle's. blake griffin also is 6'9" with a 8'10" reach and 35.5" vertical. I would never claim that Randle is as explosive as Griffin simply because they have similar measureables. some guys play more athletic than what they measure. blake is one of those guys.
terrance jones is the opposite. he plays below his measurements.
Randle can not play the 3. In that clip Rakim posted when he played against Wiggins at Peach Jam. I saw that game and Randle couldn't even score on wiggins until he got in the paint and outmuscled him.
He's a face up 4..who can handle and create some if given freedom.

He won't be a bust, but yall are acting like he's the second coming of Karl Malone and if the Lakers draft Okafor he's on borrowed time which makes this even more hilarious.

Barklonedolph is much more faster, quicker, and explosive than TJ. His handle is much more effective in getting him where he wants to be on the floor. If pre season is any indication then Barklonedolph's mid range is not too far behind.
If Barklonedolph's lives up to his his talent and potential he'll be much better than TJ and all star player. Will he fit with Okafor on the Lakers will be the main question. Only time will tell. If Towns is there then it's a moot point.

When you talk about a PF moving to the SF spot, it's because he's not good enough to defend his position.
Randle will be a good pick n roll defender and can guard the stretch 4s on the perimeter. but as a TEAM DEFENDER, he's like blake griffin. he needs a true big with shot blocking ability next to him.
but in terms of one on one defense. he can guard most 4s in the league. he has tremendous lateral mobility which makes him perfect for this generation with the plethora of 4s who want to camp out in the perimeter and take jump shots. he can guard those guys easily.

what does that have to do with the lakers getting him? are you implying that drafting towns means we move randle? if so, then think again. Randle and Towns fit together like peanut butter and jelly.
you just afraid the next lakers dynasty is taking form right now.
Teams with prized PF's like Towns almost always get a big center to play next to them to avoid them taking a beating vs larger centers.
His natural position is PF, if you draft him you'll be getting a center to play next to him before his 3rd season.

who cares? he was still very explosive in college.

i brought blake up to show that measureables don't always translate to on court ability. both Love and Griffin had similar standing reaches (8'9" vs. 8'10") and both had similar max veritcals 35.0 (for Love) and 35.5 (for blake). and yet, EVEN IN COLLEGE, love couldn't dream to do half the shyt blake did.
in the same way, you can't bring up terrance jones measureables and compare them to julius saying they are the same guy. they don't play the same. and julius plays more exlosive than jones even if they measured the same. some guys test well athletically but don't play that athletic. in the same way, some guys play more athletic than they test. terrance jones and julius are NOT similar. period.
