I actually think he could. he has great lateral mobility. sorta like ron artest even though he's big and strong. but because the league has gotten so small with every team wanting stretch 4s, he'll be a great pick and roll defender. we just need to get a rim protecting big next to him. like karl anthony towns.

i really think this guy has the potential to be a Blake Griffin type all-star PF. consistent 20-10 seasons. he won't be the #1 option on a contender. but he can be a solid #2.

He's nowhere near as good as Parker, Wiggins, or Embiid but he's definitely a steal at 7.

I don't think he's superstar status but he'll be a possible all star at his best.

he's better than parker. more explosive first step. equivalent handles. better rebounder. stronger better conditioned body. and better potential as a defender because of his superior lateral quickness. only thing parker has on him is a jump shot and that can be more easily learned than getting more explosive. add the acl injury and i think parker is gonna be the BUST of this class.

embiid (when healthy) and wiggins are obviously on a different level.

if you looked closer, you would see it was an open run against other nba players. i saw NBA vets mo williams and dj mbenga there. as well as future loterry picks marcus smart and emmanuel mudiay.

sure this wasn't in a game enviroment, but remember this is the season of draft workouts where vidoes against air get millions of hits. I just thought this video was interesting cause it showed aspects of randle's game we didn't see in kentucky. the explosiveness. the first step. the ballhandling. and the outside jumper. he looked like a small forward rather than zach randolph power forward.

That was like watching two extremely different videos.

Barklondolph is going to have his problems in the post if he doesn't get a solid right hand shot. But he'll be fine facing up, on the perimeter and in the open court.

These were the type of posts swagnificent made about Randle last year:

Randle is simply not that good. He has the wingspan of a T-Rex, he's not a great post player, shooter, or athlete. He simply dominates in college by bullying smaller/weaker opponents. In the NBA he won't be able to do that.

Vonleh has better size and length. He's a legit 6'10" with 7'3" wingspan. He can step out and hit the mid-range jumper or three. Is a better rebounder. And projects to be the better pro. He's also one of the youngest player in this class. Doesn't turn 19 till August 2014. I'd take him over Randle in a heartbeat.

My top 5 right now:

1. Embiid
2. Wiggins
3. Exum
4. Parker
5. Smart/Vonleh

not if someone like Noah Vonleh is on the board. Randle is not in class with the elite players of this class (Wiggins, Embiid, Exum, and Parker). And now that I've seen him play and seen vonleh, I don't think he's better than him either.

If the Lakers lose out of the top 4, I'd take Noah Vonleh #5 ahead of Randle.

Its true. I could be proven wrong. However, if I had the 5th pick and Randle and Vonleh are on the board, I'm taking Vonleh without even thinking. To me he's head and shoulders above Randle. Vonleh is about the same height as Randle 6'9"-6'10", however, he has a MASSIVE wingspan at 7'4" which allows him to play much bigger than his height. All the great PFs in the league have winspans like this. Randle 6'11" wingspan is WAY BELOW average. Only dudes with similar measurables that have succeeded are Griffin and Love. And both are not traditional back to the basket bigs. Love is out there shooting 3s and Griffin has now become a mid-range shooter. Lack of an above average wingspan means he CANNOT be a dominant back to the basket.

Maybe he can develop other facets of his game to make up for his lack of long arms, however, I'm not willing to take that risk. Especially considering there is a younger more talented player at his same position that should be available.

Gimme Vonleh over Randle anyday.

dude is the most likely bust in the top 10 IMO. got t-rex arms. dude will be a non-factor down low in the league.

I'd personally take LaVine #6 if I'm the Lakers and Wiggins, Exum, Embiid, Vonleh, and Parker are off the board.

can't think of a good reason to take Randle, Smart, or Gordon over him.

He's a very good athlete, with a great feel for the game. He can dribble for a 4, and he passes very well. If you put him next to a defensive center, he can be a weapon. But he can't be a 3, don't play yourself. There is NOTHING about his game that has ever shown that he could.
