I don't think we've seen 5% of what Julius Randle is capable of

You can't play TWO big men who can't shoot in today's league (nevermind the fact they're both volatile defenders), especially on the same team with LeBron. Randle had the highest turnover rate out of all 4s last season, handled the ball just as much as Anthony Davis, and yet was still one of the worst big men in self-creation points - I don't think you realize how mind-bogglingly bad that is.
Randle is hitting threes now :pachaha:. Warriors won without a shooting big (Durant doesn't count). Rockets don't have a shooting big.

I don't care about Randle's production particularly. I'm saying as far as a small 5 goes he would be perfect what the Lakers are trying to make Ingram and Kuz do and thus be a value to the team for that reason.

It's only been TWO games, and he's only made three of them. Why are you speaking like we're 40 games deep, and he's hitting 2-3 a game? Y'all muh'fukkas always lose all rationality at the start of every NBA season. He can't shoot. He shot 33 eFG% on his jumpshots last season, which puts him neck deep in WOAT territory.

He's a rim runner who capitalizes on easy scoring opportunities in the paint - that's the crux of his offensive game.

There's a stark difference between the talent on the Warriors/Rockets (GS could afford to carry a player like ZaZa because of the abilities of the other four players on the court), and the Lakers having to deal with a Randle/McGee frontcourt. It would be a total disaster; there's a reason why the didn't bring him back.

He'd be basically unplayable beyond 10-15 minutes a game on this current Lakers squad: Lonzo, Rondo, LeBron, McGee, Ingram, Stephenson etc either are temperamental shooters, or they can't shoot at all. Adding Randle to that would only shrink the floor even more - the Lakers shot 23% from behind the arc in the first game, and shot 25% from behind the arc in the second game, quite clearly they have issues with spacing/shooting.

Another 30+-pt, dominant performance from LaVine.

bu-bu-but:

'You're on worse bath salts than Swagnificent if you think LaVine is better than Randle' - @Inertia Creeps

Bruh you on worse bath salts than Swag if you seriously think anybody on that list outside of Jokic and Embiid is clearly better than Randle. You should know that Swag regurgitates hot takes at such an exponential rate that a few of the players he sets his goofy gaze on will inevitably end up being actually good through sheer statistical probability alone :russ:

Saying you'd take a guy like Lavine obviously over Randle is like salty fools saying they'd obviously take Melo at this point of his career over "top 30" Draymond; it's just nonsense to try and win some stupid argument. We know you don't really believe that shyt, don't fall into Swag's game of trolling when 1 out of his 1000 predictions turns out to be somewhat sorta correct :mjlit:

"Every GM in the league would take Randle over LaVine", oh word @Inertia Creeps? :troll:

"You've never watched LaVine play before, because if you did, you'd realize he ain't shyt", oh word @Inertia Creeps? :troll:

"It's a crime against humanity to say that LaVine is even close to being on the same level as Randle", oh word @Inertia Creeps? :troll:

"No one that knows basketball would ever think LaVine is better than Randle", oh word @Inertia Creeps? :troll:

For the record, as the starter of this thread, I view Zach LaVine as better than Julius Randle.

Both guys will be all-stars. However, LaVine has superstar potential while Randle is just an all-star.

@Sccit time for you to come pick up this L.

In his first game as a starter this season (with AD injured): handicapped the offense because he was left open on every possession (Jazz refused to guard him on the perimeter), shot multiple air-balls, had FOUR offensive fouls because of his rockbrain activity, provided absolutely little-to-no defensive help - he let Utah walk into the paint on the regular, didn't run back in transition, and had Gentry shaking his head in disbelief at all his dumbass plays, to the point he was pulled from the game and didn't return.

And since that anomaly first game against arguably the worst defense in the league (Melo/Rockets), he's only averaged 14 ppg, 0.7 assists, and 2 turnovers per game.

You have some cotdamn nerve after you tagged me after the FIRST game of the season. At the very least I waited until a handful of games. And once again, this is what you're failing to realize, this game and his latest performances are WHO he is as a player. I kept trying to tell you he has a limited offensive skillset (where he can't create for himself on the regular), I kept trying to tell you he's a volatile defender, but you wouldn't listen, and now you're paying the price by looking like a damn fool.

1/1 > 1/5

SIMPLE MATH FOLKS

I WATCHED HIM PLAY EVERY GAME LAST YEAR N HIS DEFENSE WAS PERHAPS THE BEST ON THE TEAM

HE WAS ALSO A VERY EFFICIENT SCORER AND DEADLY DRIVING TO THE BASKET

YOU HONESTLY SOUND LIKE YOU’VE EITHER ONLY SEEN HIM AT HIS WORST OR ARE JUST TOO STUBBORN TO ADMIT WHAT IT REALLY IS.
