I actually had this converstation with my wife...and she was like "why are there so many women on all these sports shows and broadcasts"

And I agree with her. I don't really want to hear some women talking about sports :manny: might be sexist but I just don't buy it.

I KNOW why they are doing it though. Its because they want to bring in another demographic. They REALLY want that female draw to their programs. they already HAVE the middle aged white dude. They already have the hard core sports fans. so they basically don't care about changing for them (kinda like how the democrats feel about the black vote....just saying)

Thats why we are also starting to see more minorities on these shows as well (not black, but asian and indian, etc)

Just a matter of time before they have openly gay dudes doing it.....:francis:

i don't have a problem with the number of women, i just wish they put more of them as actual commentators and analysts vs moderators and "hosts". yall shyt on her, but jemele holds it down, there are definitely more women out there like her who can chop it up for real, they often times just aren't as "hot"

Yep man the shyt is nothing but a hustle. Women watch television more than any gender. Plus the have a large amount of spending power. This is why the shows are changing and are more drama intense with off the court talking points.

But the monkey already showed its ass years ago when I was young and the NFL went to fox. I remember when old girl did the weather and would have them clear stripper shoe on and and her breast pushed up. Doing the weather for the games around the country.

I was like what the fukk is this heffa on TV dressed like she a white girl going to strip at magic city while doing the weather.

From then on fox had one of the most popular pregame shows just for going after that low hanging fruit.

But you can have these sport shows....I can't remember the last time I sat down and watch that crap. The ideas are recycled and there is no need to watch the same talking points day after day. shyt the dumb talking points done bleed into the live game now.

There are some qualified women on that like Doris Burke, Applehead Jemele, Lisa Salters and my baby Josina Anderson

But then there are literally dozens of useless women on there that are just there for eye candy to middle aged white males. They know nothing about sports and are just on there to springboard to E news or some shyt. I dont watch ESPN other than football and basketball season, and even then I only watch the games and the occasional sportscenter. That station is trash :yeshrug:

When i comes to who they choose when it comes to women, its clear they're going for purely looks. With guys, sports knowledge has to factor in the equation somewhere. Its an obvious bias and it ends up with a bunch of brainless, modelesque woman who know very little about sports. I have no problem with women, but at least let them be knowledgable. Outside of Jemel Hill and Linda Cohn, the rest of those women are terrible.

The only reason there are female reporters on ESPN is to avoid equal employment opportunity lawsuits.
