I was in a relationship with a man that thought the average white women(5-7) was more attractive than average black women. But he thought that black women that were 8 and above were more attractive than white women that were 8 and above. In other words he only found black women attractive if they were really attractive, and in those cases he found them more attractive than white women. But overall, on average, he found the average ww more attractive than the average bw.
I think this was influenced by where he grew up and who he hung out with. Whenever we would go out with his friends, nearly every single black friend he had was with an average looking white girl. None of them dated bw. It was pretty awkward at first tbh. The only black friend he had that had a black girlfriend, pulled me aside when he first met me and was like “where did you meet him? He doesn’t usually date black women?” It was honestly a very weird dating dynamic. I am actually surprised now that I look back on it, that I stayed with this dude for as long as I did(almost 2 years) knowing that he and his friends really didn’t fukk with black women like that.
At the time I really didn’t process it the way I am now. But sadly I did meet a few brehs that had a similar thinking to that bf I had. They generally found average ww more attractive then average bw, and only liked bw if they were an 8 or above. These were handsome brehs too. Tall, muscular, attractive corporate men. This was in the suburbs of Philly near Kop, bluebell, etc. for some reason this was the only type of bm that showed interest in me. Now that I’m away from it, I’m wondering what was up with that area.
I’m in Charlotte now and it doesn’t seem to even be the same mentality. Sure brehs pawg up here, but for the most part, it doesn’t feel like they’re doing it because they favor ww on average. That was the always the feeling I got when I was in the burbs of Philly.
