I'm not defending guys going for women above their level. It's just silly to believe average women dont reject average guys especially black women.

Most black women do have a "type" and there's a lot of black men who dont fit their ideal of a mate.

What “types” are these? How old are you? And what is this type?

I literally see bw with all kinds of bm. I see fat bw with fat bm, nerdy bw with nerdy bm, “earthy/hippie bw” with her equal black male counterpart, trash with trash(lol), and attractive bw with attractive bm. I live in a middle class diverse area in Charlotte, but tend to see these combos all over Charlotte. Families. Married with kids. Of varying ages, but most mostly in that 30 age range, do I see a great variation of black couples of every type. Hell my last boss was a fat black nerdy woman, and her husband was a fat black corny nerdy guy.

I’m not seeing married bw with only one certain type of bm. I’m seeing all types of bm eating with bw and in relationships with their “equals”. I do see IR too, bw and bm doing it. But actually I don’t see these couples as much, and when I do, they don’t have the same variation as the black couples. The majority of the time the bw or bm is more attractive than the “other” they are with. I very rarely see a black person with an actual 7 or 8, like brehs suggest on here, and I’ve lived in Chicago, philly, Cincy, Nashville and now Charlotte. The ww and wm are always average(5 or 6 anyway) and that’s regardless of how paid or attractive the black person is. Always makes me wonder “why” when they really could have gotten a better looking black person, like their peers who are like them(whether it’s nerds, blue collar, hippie natural sista, etc).

But I realize it’s more complex than that. Most people are going to go for what comes the easiest as far as that goes. And by far ww are more aggressive, sexually loose, and frequent. Likewise, bw in certain positions are around more wm, working with them often, which brings more opportunity to date. So I see how these arrangements happen.

Honestly I don’t know if I want to get married, but if I do, it would most likely be a bm. At the same time I’m not one to limit myself just like y’all—I’m attracted to every kind of men EXCEPT most wm(just don’t age well imo) so i could potentially settle down w/ anyone.

Of course you do. I do too. Some dudes don’t even interact with blk women or know us. Most of the blk females I teach at college are with average blk males. Most of the k-12 teachers I worked with were with average blk males. Baby showers I attend are all average regular blk fathers. People need to stop the bullshyt.
