It's a real deep movie that even until recently I never grasped a hold of the entire meaning.

This is probably the best explanation of the movie I've seen (more so how it ends)

The 1st 20 minutes were the best part of the movie! I loved the moral message of it and everything.

yo fukk that movie. I kept hearing how incredible it is, but when i finally watched it, i was completely underwhelmed. It moved disturbingly slow, the small amount of dialogue was painful. And that 15 min acid trip near the end of the movie just made me want to fight someone, just sitting there like :beli:. I was happy when the movie was over :camby:

It's not for everyone, but it's one of my favorite films of all time. Like previous posters hinted it, it's really an impressionistic, abstract sort of picture, so just soak it in and don't try to make sense of it.

Also, get a bag of the best shyt you can, get blazed as fukk, and watch it at night on a good TV.

This is exactly how I experienced the movie for the first time, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I almost had a panic attack though because of how profound the movie was to me while i was blazed. I just thought it was insane how Kubrick captured the beginning of mankind and then took it to the utmost future, and the cinematography bruhs...the cinematography...:mjcry:

KungFu Fighting & kicks that are fast as Lightning
Was watching this shyt last night and fell asleep on it for the 20th time..

I'm convinced this movie isn't meant to be watched in the traditional way we watch movies.

It's more like a lava lamb that you put on in the background to make the room look nice.

You're not supposed to pay attention to it, only glance at it here n there and appreciate it's beauty.

Visually it's stunning though, hard to believe it was made in the 1960s when JFK, MLK and Malcolm were still walking around

I've only seen it two times in my life and I can say there aren't many other movies that so genuinely overwhelm me that I become scared to revisit them. So in the words of @Nature Boy Ric Flair:

IF YOU CAN'T GET PAST 10 MINS OF THIS MASTERPIECE YOU MIGHT AS WELL STICK TO MICHAEL BAY MOVIES fukk BOY
