heh..............as long as teams hang around they always have a chance to beat the Warriors....

of course thats easier said than done...but in tight games I always think their need to go for home run plays is their achilles

Game last night was :blessed:

Told myself before the last possession that a win or loss doesn't mean much but after that astros L I'll take it.

Dray being hurt was huge since we can't seem to do shyt with him when we play golden st. Obviously iggy being out helped a lot too. I didn't watch but maybe 10 minutes of pre season ball so I was a little disappointed that Paul's injury delayed the process of meshing with Harden. I saw glimpses of potential greatness and a lot of the same ol same ol. It's just 1 game and apparently Paul's injury led them to lean on Harden so there's no point in overreacting.

That said I thought the offense looked really good when James was on the bench. He's gonna have to accept being off the ball most of the time cp3 is on the floor with him. Also Gordon got some athleticism back? Just like last year his health over the season will be key. Think the rockets can be the 2nd best team in the league.

Gordon was clutch last year. One thing that was understated last year was the defense he played, which was very unexpected due to his health issues all those years. I also liked Ryno noticeably trying on defense. he was getting roasted on the perimeter (obviously), but he was battling on the inside for boards. Would be great if he could do that consistently.

Also, something that's been the case for maybe 4 years, as long as the Rockets are down by 15 or less, I give them any chance to win against any team.

If teams can just hang around with the Warriors, that's the best we can ask for this season considering their talent level because all bets are off in the 4th quarter. I would this progress because all the blowouts last season and the 13 ppg win differential (before KD got hurt) was ridiculous. Now I'm am interested to see how OKC and the Spurs match up this season. If teams making the Warriors actually "work" for their wins, I consider that progress.

Klay locked Harden up on 1 possession, and Harden was swarmed by 3 different defenders here and there, but outside of that, Klay, Steph, and several others were getting sauteed and put in rice the whole night. Eric Gordon was disgusting the minute he stepped on court though :hhh:it's like he was playing at a different speed from the rest of the defenders.
