Shytty actions and behavior deserve shytty criticism. This shyt isn't normal and doesn't need to be coddled. We do that WAY too much in our culture. This situation is wack and doesn't deserve any kid gloves. I know a woman that had a kid at 13 and her son is about to graduate college with a good career lined up (and he has no kids). That woman also graduated college herself. She made sure to utilize all of her positive support channels to turn a bad situation into an eventual positive situation. This doesn't have to be a cycle. No sympathy for OP, he's pissed anyway as he should be.

Dude would have no place to put his sperm had she not opened up her legs to receive it. It’s BOTH of their fault. There’s other activities, interests and hobbies that a 16-18 yr old should have besides sex. Usually when teens look for sex, it’s due to an issue lacking within the home and attention they’re not getting.

I know of a woman who almost became a grand mother at 29 but iirc she turned 30 a couple of months before her daughter gave birth.

early 30s is still young as hell to be a grandparent but it is what it is.

Anything under 50 as a "grandparent" sounds crazy as hell but it's very common.

Birth control is simple and straight forward - you can double up (she takes hers & he uses a condom) or at least one person uses one form of BC.

{And no, I don't believe everyone and their mama are part of the 1% of cases where birth control genuinely fails and can't be attributed to human error by still having sex after throwing up that day; having diarrhea that day, taking the pill at a different time or forgot it all together that day or even a few days; didn't put a non expired or tampered with condom on correctly etc.}

If you mess those easy steps up and then on top of that fail to use emergency contraceptives and just "hope" to get lucky then you meant that shyt. This doesn't just "happen" to you.

Additionally, most people like this then just hope for the best and just continue on for weeks not taking any pregnancy tests until they're somewhere in their 8+ week and act shocked and suddenly don't know how that could've happened. Nooo wayyyyyy!

There are at least 3 forms of contraception that are 97% effective with typical, not even perfect use. Abstinence is also an option. Anal sex. Morning after pill. Abortion. A 19 year old college biology major knows that letting someone ejaculate in her vagina can cause pregnancy. Right? So that's a planned pregnancy.
