I've become obsessed with the case after watching the show. Watched like all the YouTube docs there are and just bought Dardens book on itunes.
I'm still torn because yes the LAPD was crooked as fukk but OJ didn't do himself any favors. I feel like if I had to bet money on it id say it was OJ but I'm not as sold as some people. You would have to be pretty damned stupid to leave the hat and the glove there on the scene and even dumber to leave the other one on your property. Also you would think he would've developed a clear cut alibi when it came to what he was doing during the murders and how he got the deep cuts on his hands. If he did it and still gave all those different stories he really isn't smart (which we pretty much know from what he's done after he got off). Also I might be naive but it's hard for me to picture him committing that style of murder

. If it wasn't for Fuhrman and detectives who held on to the blood plus the forensics team not doing things by the book id think it was him with more certainty. Also he didn't write the book like everyone is saying he did, it was ghostwritten by a professional writer and they contacted OJ with the opportunity to do business with them. OJ was broke so he accepted the deal. Here are some of the points I take from the entire case:
- The prosecution fumbled an air tight case. It was a mix of arrogance/ignorance and fear of another LA riot. If they had tried the case where they were supposed to instead of downtown where there were more blacks, his ass would have got convicted with or without the blood mishandling and racist tapes. Clark also was wrong about her relationship with black female jurors, that completely backfired on her and helped the defense. They also refused to use key pieces of evidence like the Bronco chase
they said they thought it would make the jury feel sympathetic to him..even though did had a strap, cash and a passport, most likely about to
the USA.
- One of the main things that makes me question if the evidence was planted is the traces of EDTA in the blood evidence from OJ. EDTA is a chemical used to stop blood from clotting when it is collected and all of the blood evidence pointing to him tested positive for high traces of it.
The prosecution could not explain this when the defense brought it up. Also some of the blood evidence they presented against him was "found" waaaay after the initial collection of evidence.
- The glove thing really doesn't hold that much weight when you find out they tried on another pair of the same gloves that had not been soaked or tested and they fit OJ perfectly. But the damage from the first try on had already been done in the public and most likely the juror's eyes.
- Fuhmran, the other detective who admitted to having all the blood evidence with him for an unusually long amount of time and the asian CSI guy sealed the case for the defense. Fuhrman was done after the tapes but him pleading the fifth (especially to Johnnie's question of did he plant evidence in this case) ruined everything for the prosecution. The other two witnesses I mentioned only gave more fuel for the fire that the defense has created.
- The media and the prosecution glossed over a lot of the stuff that had to do with Nicole and Ron. Like someone stated earlier, they were involved in some heavy drug shyt and some of the same people who worked with Ron were murdered in a similar fashion later on.
- I don't really buy the story about the son. I feel like either OJ did it or someone completely unrelated to him did.
- DNA was still a relatively new concept for the public back then and I think it went over most of the juror's heads or they didn't care to understand it. Even if they didn't think the blood evidence was planted, I don't think they would've gave DNA the weight that it should have held.
- The no defense wounds part is questionable. On one hand you had some people saying Ron (a black belt) fought for his life and had obvious defense wounds on his swollen fingers. Then you had another coroner say the wounds on Ron's hands were from falling on the concrete. Is it oochie wally wally or is it one mic?

- Ito's decisions helped OJ a lot. Allowing Bailey to ask the questions about the N word, not allowing the supposed OJ confession from prison, sonning Marsha/Darden non-stop.
- This was a great display of what money/media can get you. There are dudes who go to prison with 95% less evidence than OJ had against him :smugoj: Cacs been using their money to dodge punishment for generations but they mad because a black dude got away with the same. They hold this as such a landmark injustice of the criminal justice system but we've been getting hit with these injustices forever. If OJ was a lesser known dude with lesser money with the same evidence against him, he would've pleaded to life without parole before it even hit trial.
- If he did do it, he did it at the right time. The climate that had built up in LA over the LAPD and nationwide made people take his side who probably wouldnt have before. OJ was as
as you could get and it's hilarious to see him as some civil rights example.
- A lot of the information from the civil trial made it look more and more like he did it. nikka swore up and down he would not be caught in them "ugly ass" shoes that the murderer wore. Then they found a picture of him wearing the EXACT shoes in a program published by the Buffalo Bills. OJ was speechless lol like
