I'm still baffles as to why Coppola left out the scene of Fabrizio getting whacked..
Also I lookes into the book and read the script to part 2..and it's shyt that the film overlooks.
-Tom was fukking Sonny widow..Mike knew about it
-Fredo was supposedly BI
-DON Fanucci got his throat slashed by 3 hoodlums and this was witnessed by vito..(scene deleted) which is why he wears a scarf when vito kills him..
-In part 1 Carlo beats connie because he resents Vito'a treatment of him. Vito never approved of carlo...didn't like him and carlo was never "brought into the family" on a major level..small responsibilities..

Never watched the deleted scenes 
They had to show how the Italian mob was moving down in Cuba.
Michael married a bad ass italian woman only for her to get killed and he goes back to his average ass anglo cac female.
From exotic royalty to nagging. Reminds me of when Brazilian girls ruled the world 12 years ago.
G2 was a lot more cerebral, even with the action. I had to watch it like 5 times before I got it. Each time I learned more things from it.

In the script Connie runs off with that guy on a cruise ship..in the middle of the cruise they get told their credit is bad and they get moved to lower class berthing 
She got in line after that.
And yes Part 2 gets better on rewatches
I don't remember if they showed this in the movie but in the script Kay runs off, and Tom finds out after she is already gone...he panics, gulps down a drink..then is embarassed that he is showing weakness.
Also Cuba showed Part 2 in theaters because it makes Castro look good, and basically is a

Juat got done reading the book. The og book.
Part 2, Vitos scenes are in that book. Pretty close to how the book portrayed it, I like the scenes in the movie, like when the landlord comes back and kisses Vitos ass and how he stalked Fanucci during the parade.
The book goes into Johnny Fontanes story, more of him and even Sonnys girlfriend. More of Tom. More of Luca.
In the book when Michael decides to kill Tessio, Tom asks Michael if they can let Tessio off the hook.
Carlo is killed in the same manner but the book describes the awful smell of Carlo shytting his pants while being strangled.
