The type of comments in here complaining about it being a bust and about the nefarious nature of the media's intentional sensationalism is fukking disturbing.

People legit want to believe that they are being oppressed by wizards, human gods, and master geniuses. :dwillhuh:

It almost makes me believe people legit want the force against them to be unbeatable so they can continue complaining about the bad gods instead of realizing it's a human and flawed oppressor that can be beaten.

Spooky. :snoop:

We went from 130 mph wind to 130 degree heat. :francis:

Horrible what happened in Haiti tho. Condolences to all those families of loved ones. Hopefully every poster here of Haitian descent has all their people accounted for. Hopefully if the storm does turn it fizzles out in the ocean and doesn't come back towards us or atleast avoids the islands. They been thru enough already.

Wasn't there a recent storm they didn't hype that devastated people?
Irene hit in 2011 and was super hyped up. Everything was closed by like 2pm. It did minimal damage.

When Sandy came around those same people that live out in Rockaway Beach wanted to ride it out and ended up getting fukked in the end. I didn't go to school for 2 weeks as my college was being used as a shelter.

Even if the storm ends up being a doozy, you should ALWAYS listen to hurricane warnings. Not all storms are the same and they're often times unpredictable. You never know what can do the most damage (wind, surge). People are dumbasses. Always want to know more than the professionals.

And not only that, you are putting the lives of emergency workers in danger when they have to come save your ass cause you didn't wanna fukking listen to directions. So incredibly selfish.

I believe the complaints about media sensationalism are more than warranted... generally speaking and specifically , depending on the type of coverage folks have noticed in their respective areas vs. the real intensity level of.the storm in those areas .

One of the real disturbing parts of such things as this is the areas that could use the forewarning and (some) hyperbole from storm reporting (e.g.Haiti) don't have that luxury while over on the mainland we are bombarded with the shyt just to create reality theatre for viewership ratings .
