All lanes of I-16 from Savannah to Dublin are going northbound until further notice
yeah I think the first time they have ever used contraflow on 16, I live in the next county over to the north of Savannah so I'm hopping up to Augusta and crossing over to relatives in Atlanta if I need to leave

I am speaking for people that are complaining because i know how poor people live in jamaica there is no aid like united states such as welfare .. people cant afford to send children to school because books arent free much less the uniforms they have to buy for children. Even though i am not poor i stand up and always voice for poor people because i see sufferation without help. Its like a person with a house that has limited money for anything and cannot eat and across the street there is a problem and resourses go there when no resourses were ever provided for the original home base sufferer. I am not upset i am very happy jamaica is reaching out especially when first world countries dont give a damn... i am not happy that a person is calling out poor jamaicans suffering and talking trash when they are just an ignorant outsider who have never walked in there shoes

Well remember even though i waasnt born there most of my family was so im not that much of an outsider. but i will agree to disagree with you. Trust me i know of how bad it has gotten in jamaica. especially since 2005. for some reason that was the year it seems shyt went downhill. the exchange rate seems to be rising every couple of months.

I can understand what your saying it would have looked better if the government took care of their damage first even if it was less than expected and then focused on Haiti. Your right about first world countries. We have 2 presidential candidates who still haven't said shyt about this at least on a national platform. Even Jamaica's "Queen"(that isn't a diss to jamaica so you dont misunderstand) hasnt said shyt. But she never does. I know she is a figure head but that wealthy ass family after decades has never headed up an economic initiative for nations like Jamaica. After WWII european countries got it with the marshall plan but nobody can help out black countries like Jamaica.

President Obama went there in the past and i'm still trying to figure out for what since it seems like it was just for show. Someone needs to change this shyt. Its crazy how Jamaica and Haiti are two countries in the west where first world countries in the west seem like they dont even want to bother with helping them.

Everyone is split on this storm. Half my neighbors friends are staying put and think everyone is blowing things out of proportion. The other half are fleeing to the west coast of Florida and saying this is going to be the worst storm in decades.

:patrice:

I'm more worried about that loop. Current projections don't have it veering too far to the west but that can always change. The outer bands are still dangerous tho so even if it stays out in the sea, it can still do damage, especially along the coast.

Plus the eye or eye wall does not have to go over your area for you to have significant damage. And on the coast it's even worse because you have to deal with storm surge so it's not just the rain and wind. Keep in mind, even the areas that are under a Tropical Storm Warning will be in quite a mess.

Make sure y'all watch for any wobbles in the storm because any sudden due west movement could have big implications down the road. For instance, even a slight west jog could have a landfall further south in Florida
