For anyone that's riding this out in the vulnerable areas near the coast, I hope they write down their social number on their arms in case something happens. Be safe y'all.

probably better to write in on your chest. This storm look like it could rip your arms right off. :picard:

A lot of the cities along the gulf coast( Houston, N.O. Beaumont etc) never should’ve been built as modern cities in the first place.

wetland was the natural defense against storm surge and flooding. What do land developers do? Drain all the wetlands and pave over them so water has nowhere to go
All major cities (the biggest) are close to water

That is not the gulf or Laura. Why do people do this fake shyt
The minute I saw that I was like that ain’t a GOM rig. I’ve rode out a tropical depression on a drill ship before. It’s not something I would do again. It’s a humbling experience, standing at the rear of a 300 yard long boat and watching the bow raise up is rough

Florida, Texas and Louisiana get it rough with the hurricanes.....but when those storms gain steam in the Gulf, shyt is no joke.

On a side note, (and I say this as a Texan), we might get the worst weather in the country.

My neighbor works for Metro..said they suspended service around 4pm
Uninformed muthafukkas were probably stuck at bus stops for hours wondering why buses weren't coming
