I got fam in Palm Bay that are bouncing to Orlando. My dad is in Daytona Beach talking about riding it out. He lives near the river so I'm a little worried. His brothers live in Deltona so if worst comes to worst he'll bounce but I don't want him risking it and would rather have him leave now.

They say even if you have homes out west in the glades, you're still prone to flooding(sometimes even worse than the coast) due to all the artificial lakes out there and because of the glades. Believe it or not, some of the most highly elevated places in SoFla are along the coast:

And the seawall in most of Palm Beach county is about 20-40ft high I believe:

So depending on where you live in Palm Beach, the water will have to climb the seawall, and then climb up how ever the elevation is where you live. But flooding also may come from the everglades....

Either way, there's no certainty.
