Hurricane Irma: now a tropical storm, moving into Georgia today

We're starting to close the shutters so the house is dark. It's really starting to hit me that this is really happening. I was born way after Andrew so this is my first major hurricane. I'm starting to get depressed, trying not to drink though.

The storm is larger and will spend way more time over the state. It's a cat 4 that's only a few mph less than the minimum for a cat 5. I'll be honest, I'm food.

Andrew is a lot smaller.

A 4 is going to be worse than a 5 when it spends way more time in the area than the 5. Come on now...

It's not just wind speed. It's the length of time and damage as well
