Jump on tiktok and see this. I'm sure I'll come across more as I browse. Who knows how many like her are out there.

My homegirl and her family like 25 miles from the coast and she was telling me earlier that they lost power. Who knows when they'll get it back.
Hopefully they’ve learned from past hurricanes especially 2017 Irma, that was not a good situation. Temps in the 90s, humid, some without power for weeks. People were getting heated. If you had a generator that can help run a fridge or fan but can’t really run a house ac.

Nice seeing all those trucks waiting to go. Hopefully those that lose power get it back within 24 hours. Irma I was without for a day, other hurricanes at most a few hours

I’m in Orlando so I’m safe. Just hoping the power stays on, next few hours are supposed to be the worst of it
oh ok, yeah i just looked at an interactive map and see its much further south. you'll get the left side which is weaker. plus orlando way inland so not sure how severe any flooding may be but prolly not as much as we seen from the coasts. looks like its a bunch of farmland in its path until it hits the coast over there by cape canaveral and that area. should be much weaker then.

Yeah, where I’m at most people kind of joke about it. Main thing is power going out. Then some minor debris cleanup usually. Irma actually saw more trees down. More big puddles than flooding, so not worried about that. Depends on location. Center should be out in the ocean by noon

With Irma it went right over us, felt like the house was going to implode. That one worried me a little bit

yeah i know they were still living out by here during Irma and they lost power for a few days and her dad also. I lost power same for nearly a week but i have a generator. of course like you said that doesn't help much. just to keep the fridge running and a fan, and my brother hooked up the tv with i think one of my playstations cuz his boy came by to stay with us for those few days so they can play. remember having to leave my phone charging in the car a few times back then. definitely was a rough week. my parents were over in the southeast asia area on vacation at the time so there schedule was all messed up with the time difference and worrying about the house.

yeah hopefully they do. guess it depends on the severity of the damage and their ability to get to where the generator or power supply is. my homegirl lives in the middle of nowhere, some place called Ave Maria that isn't exactly well known or has much around it. just a few small towns. so it might not be as important when it comes to getting power restored as quickly as the more populated areas along the coast. but the quicker the better for them or anyone else.

I think Irma had already weakened when it reached up there. that one also hit me with the right side of the storm.

Yeah the fan for me made it worse, blowing around like 95 degree air. It hit when I normally went to bed, so I was up 24 hours that day. Hung out in car with the ac on until I found friend that had power. This time I slept all day, so wide awake now.

shyt picking up now. Got hurricane proof windows good up to 140mph as long as nothing comes flying thru but neighbors know the routine

The wind is super gusty here at 4am in South Florida, you can hear trees blowing with wind @ 28 mph. I can't imagine other areas of the state. Will probably be skipping the gym for now. Not trying to get blown off the road with 40-50mph gusts.

Central Florida area just about 21% outage, probably will get fixed today, other areas like where it landed Fort Myers’s/Naples going to be days, hopefully not weeks.

News people saying since it was moving slowly, going to be worse. For most probably and if you’re in a flood prone area. For Central Florida probably better, had plenty of time to weaken. If it zipped thru, probably would have been hit harder
