Those were awful storms, I can only imagine what a Cat 3 would do to modern day New York. The last major to make landfall in New York was in 1938, killed around 600 people and had around $4.7 billion dollars (today’s money) in damage.

Word it would make Katrina look like a Sunday school morning class. Hunts Point,BX is the logistics hub of the city where all the bodegas,grocery stores gets food. We were lucky during sandy it didn’t get flooded. But we may not be lucky if we get hit by a Cat 3 in the future. This fukking city is a death trap if a natural disaster hits.
