Mom just called excited that she got a new generator from Lowes in Greenville, NC (6500 watts)
She said they have sold hundreds of them today alone
They got a truck in at 1PM today
That's great. Definitely a needed investment. Never know what can happen. My dad just got ours fixed up over the summer. Praying we won't need to use it anytime soon and praying for everyone in here. This thing looks like it's disastrous. Everyone better get their supplies or get the hell out.

My younger sister lives inland NC so even though she evacuated her house might be ok.

Thankfully she got insurance. :whew:

I got family in Tidewater area of Virginia and a bunch of shipmates
I hope they get the hell outta there we got a krib on the coast in Norfolk it flood there with a bad thunderstorm so this in unprecedented. I was there when Isabel hit in 2003 and the power was out for a week and trees were down on every street. That storm was a cat 2 when it made landfall so that's how serious this is.

That pic was from last year and it was just a bad thunderstorm imagine what a hurricane will do to the area. Tell your brehs this aint the time to be cheap or prideful Norfolk/Hampton/Chesapeake will flood badly and VA doesn't have the resources like other places if the power is out it will be days before its back good luck b.

That's a underpass where all that water is breh it took a week to drain and it was 3 to 5 cars in the bottom of it .

Bruh, you should've seen that shyt when the storm came through. My car was damn near one of them... water was filling up fast and I had no idea until I approached the underpass so my only option was to press the gas and hope for the best.

My car was floating for like 3 seconds :wow:

But I made it to the other side. But everything else was flooded so I was trapped most of the night at the 7/11 near the light rail station next to NSU along with a whole gang of people. I was driving around, trying to look for a way out... accidentally went into some deep ass water that had all my electronics flickering in my car. (came out relatively unscathed, but had to replace my radiator some months later).

Tried to go back the way I came, nope.... see above picture.

Then I found a way out through the Harbor Park parking lot that led to 264, I should've told everyone else... but I didn't

Decided there was no way in HELL I was getting to my house near Lafayette (called my roommate, he told me power was out anyway), so I drove to Chesapeake... got a nice hotel room, took a hot shower.... and woke up for work the next morning :francis:
