Three games in and I can say with 98% confidence this team will NOT GO ANYWHERE with Jones as the point.

He’s no burke, walton, Simpson, & smith.

He has some stupid fouls with a low B-ball IQ. Jawaan has to let Bufkin take over and give Collins a shot.

Jones is not it and he’s holding the team back. I say start diamanté over johns as well.

Lost too many shooters from last year's team. Playing with more athletes now so our half court game is too clogged up. Caleb Houstan played timed on both ends. Missed every 3 point shot he took tonight. Like I said earlier in this thread I expect us to lose a few more games this non conference until we get our overall team chemistry and starting lineup situated. Brandon Johns Played soft tonight. I did like the spark Kobe gave us.

Yea I said it earlier.. Devante Jones aint it. Too many turnovers, and that IQ is minimal at best. I'll keep it a buck tho.. the kids played hard as hell. Seton Hall's a good team. They'll make it to the dance. Another thing.. it had to be close to 85% of all the shots that the Hall hit were HEAVILY contested.

So I cant even be mad at our defense.

We'll grow and get better. Need to cut Jones' minutes a bit and just let Brooks run the 1 when he's out. Bring in Bufkin/Zeb (when he gets back) to play the 2 a bit.

Well just to follow up with what you said, Seton Hall shot 30 threes! And ONLY hit 9. Michigan only shot 15 total and you’re right, a lot of SH’s shots were contested.

Michigan has the defense but some teams they will face, the threes will fall and we do not have the shooters to get into that type of fight.

And hunter only got three shots because you have a point guard(Jones) who does not know how to orchestrate in a half court offensive set at this level, look at our scoring droughts at times.

Like I said Jawaan was spoiled having Simpson & Smith who could score at will to the basket but also facilitate properly. Also Houstan took some really bad shots as well.

Jones is a 5th senior grad transfer but you have a couple of highly recruited all Americans on the bench. And now with the transfer portal, these kids will leave if they don’t play regardless of the school. I wouldn’t care if Jones feelings get hurt, other guys need to play over him.

I like brooks as the point even though he plays better off the ball, and Jones minutes needs to be minimized expeditiously.

Yeah, Juwan's gotta change that next game. This kid's a Lottery pick. Get him as many minutes as possible and let him grow throughout the season. Much better odds in the Tourney if Diabate gets a lot of tick beforehand.

He looks like the most talented kid to come to Ann Arbor since the Fab Five.
