somehow they went from vastly underachieving to start the season to vastly overachieving to end it.

they needed to be humbled this season, hopefully they got a chip on they shoulder and come back next season stronger. i aint mad all things considered

We're still not gonna have a guard that can create his own shot on the roster. Unless we hit the portal. But with people coming back and a 4 man class coming in.. I dont see any available scholarships.

I think Hunter is gone after this season. As for Moussa he might get drafted late in the second but mentally he isn't ready. All of the freshmen need to stay in Ann Arbor for the summer and expand their games and workout with Coach/Trainer Sanderson.

Hunter might be gone, but dont be surprised if he comes back. He's not even on the NBA's radar. And he's making more in NIL then he would in the G League. I'd like Moussa to come back too. Same with Houstan. A Jett Howard/Caleb Houstan small forward combo would be nice.

Underachieving start of the season, kinda overachieved at the end. The game was winnable, but to many mistakes in fundamentals.

Really disappointed in Diabete today. He clearly was not ready.

Hopefully Houstan can take that next step if he returns next and if Frankie develops a shot. He will be much better.

Hunter coming back will be huge. He tested the nba waters this year and made leaps in his game. I’m sure he will test the waters again.

I don't think Hunter would even get drafted. He'd be a late second round pick at best, imo. His game does not translate to the NBA at all. He would get run off the floor with pick and rolls and he isn't physical/athletic enough to take advantage of mismatches in the league.

Has four years written all over him if he's smart because he'll get more in NIL money at Michigan than he will in Europe.

Diabate has first round talent. I could see him shooting up draft boards after workouts and he'd be better served with NBA coaching because him having this little progress at Michigan is unacceptable. He has to look at the leap Franz Wagner had once he went to the league and think the same should happen for him. I don't trust Juwan for developing talent right now.

I don’t think many are developing talent at the college level these days, i think you find something they lack and work on it a bit, but you just try to play to strengths, especially with the one and dones, Howard can probably give many good tips, and run some good drills, but the kids gotta work for it, Howard can’t make you boss up and stop getting out rebounded, or get a more steady shot, or go up with enough physicality to make contested under the hoop shots

Before the game, if you told me Michigan's defense would hold Villanova to 37 FG% and 30 3PT%, then I would have assumed they won. I suppose shooting 35% from 2 when you have a distinct size advantage can explain the actual outcome. Villanova isn't a great team, they're a disciplined team with a great coach that doesn't beat themselves. Michigan has consistently beaten themselves this season.

It'll be interesting to see what happens this off-season, they desperately needs shooters and wings. Frankie may have acquitted himself well in the tournament, but he's such a non-shooter that they desperately need to bring in a veteran guard.

In any case, credit to the players and staff for making a strong tournament run after such an abysmal regular season.
