Now... i revisited The UMC's 1991 Fruits of Nature LP...
besides the fact Hass G produced SEVERAL ghost tracks..
on a few songs he mentions Wu-tang..

UMCs where the only to really rep the staten in 91.. i rememebr thinking the Rakeem kid was from hemstead.. i dont know why . i think once on video music box or something they said that... i think cause nobody really was from staten island and LI was popping after De La and Leaders.. maybe thats the plan tommy Boy rolled with

As producer

on any way the wind blows .. which does sound like a pre rza beat..
Well it came to my attention, many had slept on the U
(Even so, show 'em that you kept on and grew)

Yeah I did, this is from a flow and yes a master
Wu-Tang blower on the board

You pass the microphone to the UMC Hasi'

And leave me with no other choice (and what)
So I flow it for the posse (right)
That would include, the Kunis and me

It surely includes, Prophet and Kwase
No doubt it includes, my little brother Krunch
RNS, Big Burn and Little Munch

ok.. i found out who RNS is.. i think he's the cat that prodiced the song for D-Lover after RZA did the park hill joint.

RNS
Profile:
Influential rap producer from Staten Island, NY, who worked with seminal rap act UMC'S years before reportedly loaning his Ensoniq EPS sampler to fellow Staten Island producer RZA, which resulted in the first Wu-Tang Clan album. He remained connected to the Wu collective through production/mixed studio work for Gravediggaz, GP Wu, and perhaps most directly, Shyheim.

:ohhh: this is interesting if true. Cause in the recent BigBoy interview RZA says he tried to get that character from the series to join the Wu in real life back during the formation and he wasnt with the movement...

Their trying to go multiple seasons and I actually appreciate the attention to detail that there doing with this series. Think about all the bullshyt that most Hip Hop “biopics” go through. Look at Notorious and All Eyes On Me. Just awful, rushed, monstrosities that weren’t worthy of the subject matter.

I feel like they are actually treating this series seriously and really trying to tie in the origins and mythology of the Wu. Im here for it

Are we sure about this?, we only got 2 episodes left and we have yet to hear about Hulu renewing this series for a 2nd season. Maybe this show was just designed to be a one season series. :manny:

It's true. The scene w/ Ghost recording in the Stapleton producer's apartment was RNS and when the Wu was coming together, RNS & GP decided to stay in their own lane separate from Wu. RNS produced for UMCs, Shyheim, GP, Pop, King Just, Dark Skinned Assassin, Ruthless b*stards, etc...

Yeah I'm familiar with all those artists. Dont Go Against The Grain had some heaters on it. And I known they were very cool with Wu cause Ghost gave Pop Da Brown Hornet a shout out in the liner notes of Supreme Clientele.

Also if they really wanted their own lane why name the group "GP Wu" :stopitslime:

Loosely...Shyheim always went between both camps but GP decided they wanted to do their own thing. People called them affiliates b/c they're rhyming on Staten & things overlap and they had closer ties back before Wu signed but there's reasons you never really got a bunch of collabs between them.

Pop is Ghost's cousin. And going w/ "GP Wu" was as much MCA as the group wanting to capitalize off Wu's success. Although, they never had much problem running w/ it as "Wu-Tang" started off as Stapleton slang.

The newest ep was :unimpressed:

Who is this big nikka, how did he find out where RZA lived so quickly, and is this based on something that actually happened or is this strictly for the show? :gucci:

Ghost's interpretation of the kung fu flicks was a semi-funny joke that went about 3 minutes too long.

Other than that...nothing of importance happened.

Follow up the best episode of the season with two part filler brehs :snoop:
