Hey, yo! Prince Akeem was wack son
I like the kid as an actor but he’s basically just playin himself. Lol
Almost done with the new episode. I ain't gonna lie, not a fan of this kid playing RZA at all.
said it from jump...he’s too far off physically from RZA and his acting is not great enough to compensate for it...even if he was taller it’d help a bit
Yea, the height thing is noticeable but not a huge issue. It's the rigid acting. Breh just seems way too uncomfortable and shy to play RZA. There's several other actors on the show that don't really fit the physical description of the Wu members they are playing but they are doing a good job. The Shameik kid playing Rae for instance. He's acting like Rae to a tee. From the way he stands to even the way he makes his mouth. Everything the kid has been doing I can see Rae doing. This episode really displayed how off the RZA casting was because it's the first one that was focused mainly on him. He was on screen like 90% of the time in this episode.
Not to me. I could overlook the height issue if dude showed any personality at all. When watching some shyt like this I don't want to be left wondering why anybody would even be cool with dude much less willing to follow his plan. This dude playing him could be 7 feet and it still wouldn't make a difference to me. This was my least favorite episode cause he was so Rza centric and dude just doesn't have the acting chops to carry an episode.said it from jump...he’s too far off physically from RZA and his acting is not great enough to compensate for it...even if he was taller it’d help a bit

This classic Raw Deal episode comes shortly after the name transition from Club Krush. The Tommy Boy crew rolls massive into the studio including Naughty By Nature before their first album (as NBN) hit the shelves. Along with them is Prince Rakeem who, of course, later became Wu-Tang Clan's Rza. Interestingly, while he mentions his "Wu-Tang Slang style," the Wu-Tang crew had not yet been formed by that name. Instead, he was down with the DMD ("dikk 'Em Down") Posse. He mentions having eight songs done so far for his solo album, which didn't materialize before Rza's departure from Tommy Boy. While I did cut some songs out while recording to save tape, there's a load of good stuff here including an unreleased Crusaders for Real Hip-Hop track called "Stop Them Know [sic]." The real crown jewel, though, is the resurgence of Thursday Night Live with one of the best sessions in the show's history featuring Treach, Rza, Tony D, LA Law (aka Mr. Law), and others going in. The tape's not labeled (of course), but it's mentioned that Tone's (25th) birthday (June 28th) is coming up at midnight.
Everyone complaining about the RZA character is missing that RZA is the showrunner. His character is being portrayed exactly how RZA wants so the issue you have might not be w/ the actor but how RZA wants to frame his story and his character.
Here's a radio session w/ Treach & Rakeem from the promo tour in this episode:
