I knew I recognized some of the lyrics off this song from another Meth verse...

Always seemed odd how Meth's verse just stopped & went into those repeated lines at the end, but makes a lot more sense that he was doing part of an old Meth/RZA neighborhood jam. That plus Deck reusing the hook on REC Room points to the show recreating an actual pre-Wu song.

what's crazy is that some lyrics he wrote in 89/90/91 fit right in some shyt he spit in 98!

That whats crazy to me you have the WU backing the project and they need KXXG CROOKED to help with the lyrics... wouldve thought someone in their camp could use a check for this and would be available

rae and ghost did contribute to some of the lyrics for their character. as well have have them follow them around and study them

Ep 6 was flames. Best one yet:wow:

Breh that's playing Rae is murdering it. He even got his rap style and voice down exactly like Rae's when he was battling Meth in the cypher.

That whole scene including the ending gave me chills.

Came in to say this
is there a wu-tang song called the big deal.... episode titles been wu-tang songs so far

and i mean wu-tang as everybody .. not just the group

i have a thought ..

The Big Doe .. since ghost's album is the big doe rehab..
so maybe this is when the move to ohio is starting cause his step pops get the big doe (payday) from selling his land.
RZA gets the big doe (or so he things) from tommy boy

Yo GREAT guess:gladbron: thats one of my favorite Ghost albums that album was soooooo unfairly slept on
Dope episode. I fukk with this show heavy. They low key had Deck come off like a cornball lol. I love how all the pieces are falling into place too. First I was wondering where they were going with the old lady storyline but liked how they brought it all back. Even though them calling her a beyotch seemed out of place, I don't remember beyotch becoming popular until a few years later but I could easily be wrong.

The focus on Bobby's sister and mom is coming around too. The mom situation leading to the issue with the Italians opening up for Jerome to come through and move the family to Ohio. The situation with Ghost and the sister can lead to Ghost rolling to Ohio with em. Add in all the shyt going on with them like Haze dying, getting beat up and robbed by the white boys, Divine having to toss his stash and it gives them all the reason to leave NY.

Did Ghost go with RZA and fam to Ohio in real life?

The RZA's family story line sucks. Don't understand why they include it in the series.

They need to make this about each members story. They have enough members to do it.

Crooked also wrote the rhymes for the Jamaican group with Intel. Deck wrote some lyrics for the show too. Rae & Ghost gave some lines. GZA is probably MIA, as usual. But why not reach out to your other homies to get a check? Crooked & RZA are close.

im not against it breh just found it odd that they had to resort to crooked when you know... they are the LYRICISTS portrayed in the series aaaaand have a large camp AND the lines are supposed to sound freestyled/begginer like. but maybe you are on to something, maybe they needed that lyrical miracle that kxxg crooked is a master of but when it comes to actual songs...

show is pretty cool by the way and i can see D-Love actually looking a bit like Ghostface in his mask wearing days

SON !!!

Good episode.

GZA about to get jerked by Cold Chillin and Tommy ain't RZAs Boy :francis:

:mjlol:@the birth of Prince Rakeem...that song is still corny as ever :russ:

Meths uncle :snoop:

the song was Tommy Boy's idea.... but it created so much of a stigma he had to change his name to RZA (or anything except Prince Rakeem)

So Divine had knowledge of self and didnt teach Rza anything? I highly doubt he changed his name like that lol Crazy Rza always credits Gza for teaching him first!

Divine & Power seemed like brothers with colorful names but still caught in the street life.
