I think with Flair, he was never known to refuse to put people over. Also, the only scandals he's really been involved in was being drunk, his various marriages, and living beyond his means and now broke. Those are things people can "forgive." Hardcore fans know about him calling Teddy Long the n-word, but the majority of fans don't know. He's also more entertaining than Hoegan. Not excusing it, but that's my take.

Think the difference is people still see Flair acting a fool and just assume that's how he is even thought he's a POS for different reasons.

Really just boils down to this. Hoegan is an opportunistic piece of shyt as a human being, from him ratting out Jesse Ventura about starting a union for wrestlers to the aftermath of his son's car accident to the racism on those tapes to his blatant dikkriding of Trump. Would have been a lot easier for everyone involved with WWE to have just moved on from Hogan after those tapes and let him rot in irrelevancy. I know this hurts Piffy Boy, since he was cheering his little heart out when Hoegan appeared, but it's the truth.

I don’t know how it is where you guys are at, but I’ve talked wrasslin with quite a few co-workers over the years. I never brought it up, but they would, so of course I would poke further. I chopped it up from time to time with OGs who did time due to conspiracy to commit murder and another who did robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

It’s kinda funny how some dudes are trying to to use Taker and Trips as “they’re MAGA too!” It’s been proven throughout history that most times, no matter the race of political affiliation, people will throw their own under the bus if it damages their rep or have beef with them due to who they are.
