You just gotta think the age demo and about how much time has passed since Hogans time. These fans (parents and kids) didn’t grow up with Superman Hulk Hogan, they grew up with TMZ Hogan. There’s hour long YouTube compilations of Hulktales. Adults in the audience grew up with Austin/Rock and the kids grew up with Cena and Cody.

True. NWO Hogan was interesting but yeah.. WCW fell off before the Rock/Austin peak years. He popped in and out of WWE during that time, but he was a legacy act by then.

I'm shocked. Hogan has always been good money for every crowd I've seen him in front of. Even as a heel he was beloved.

No. The reality is at first..the nwo was on top..Sting was on top..Goldberg too. But Austins rise stopped their momentum. Then the Rock's 2000 run was the nail in the coffin to the nwo and Goldberg.

During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray shared his surprise over how Hulk Hogan was booed on last Monday’s WWE Raw on Netflix debut. Speaking on the incident, Bully Ray stated (via WrestlingInc.com),”I am floored that Hulk Hogan got booed out of the building. I kind of get it but I’m absolutely floored by it.”
Busted Open co-host Dave LaGreca noted the reaction was a result of the damage Hulk Hogan committed to his career over the last ten years. He stated, “There’s been so much damage done to his reputation over the last 10 years and a lot of it is self-inflicted and it came back to bite him in the ass last night.”
As previously noted, WWE recently partnered with Hogan’s Real American Beer brand, which Hogan promoted during Raw and was also featured in the ring mat.
