It's not even a full shutdown, it's just posturing. The day you see the Military completely close up shop indefinitely, you can panic, until then....... and take it easy. It's just politics and media fear warriors trying to scare people.

Our managers aren't the most reliable sources. They said we'd get paid after it was over. ATCs are critically essential though so they can't have you all working for free and getting disgruntled.

Yea I heard about some people getting reimbursed later for time worked. Hopefully it doesn't last long so won't even have to worry about that.

I think most contractors are going to use FY13 funding to keep going until it finally runs out. There are no FY14 contracts until this thing is over.

Whether they keep their job or not depends on the contracting company and if they have to start cutting losses.. I know some contracting companies who won't reimburse their employees who lose pay during the shutdown.
